The Tulip Festival on the Elagin Island! The 2018 year is the Year of Ballet in Russia.Therefore, arranging tulip flower beds for the Festival gardeners took inspiration from the sketches of Leon Bakst, Alexander Benoit and other artists worked for the Ballets Russes – wonderful idea and delightful result!

Having the chance to work with the Ballets Russes sketches in the Theatre Museum several years ago, I was also greatly inspired: the wonderful colours and patterns of the Russian artists influenced a lot the first OLGA bangles.

By the way, what Scheherazade tells us in the language of flowers? Yellow tulips promise us joy and sunlight; pink tulips give us romantic hopes; black tulips tell us that love is stronger than death itself!
